BroadbandIndia has learnt that Reliance Communications will be launching its broadband services on the WiMax platform in Bangalore and Pune within the next two months. Airtel, BSNl and Tata Indicom have also tested and are weighing options to introduce service in the city.

Reliance official said,

RCOM can launch the unlicensed version of WiMax service anytime as it has completed all the tests. The initial launch will be in Pune and Bangalore and later move to other cities. BSNL is also looking to launch its WiMax service in Pune.

Sify and You telecom have already deployed Wimax for business customers in few cities in India. Bangalore Wi-Max was live for a short period last year during BangaloreIT.In.

We have used and tested Tata Indicom Broadband and Reliance NetConnect [Wireless Internet using data card, a.k.a Discover Reliance Internet] are terrible services. Claims of 144Kbps speed on Reliance Wireless Internet is a straightforward lie.

    I,V. Vijayapandian, Proprietor of Winways Infosys,{ Tally Softwares Sales & Service , Support Center } which is locatedat No. 313, G.S.T Main Road, Chromepet, Chennai – 44. I got the broadband net connection (Wimax Connection 1MBPS) for Rs. 2000/- per month from Reliance on 13.04.2011. The Connection has been installed by the Service Engineers whose names are Mr. Kalaiarasan and Mr. Raja.

    They have installed the net connection only with old Modem set and Setup box. But on 14.04.2011 itself, the speed is very slow and it was working in 50KBPS, so that time itself we put a mail as a compliant to shanmuga.n.sundaram@relianceada.com. So, I guess that it is because of old modem set and setup box, so when I questioned them they said the problem will be rectified soon.

    But, within one month the net connection is not working for morethan three or four times, but it solved within a day. But now, on Friday Morning (06.05.11) from 10’00 clock, we are not getting the netconnection. From that day onwards, we have been continuously logging complaint to the customer care and toll free no: 1800 3000 7777, whenever we are calling them a new person is attending the line and promising us that the same day itself their person will come and attend the complaint, and also adding that this compliant has been taken in notice to our higher official but still today nobody has come and the problem was not solved.

    When we tried to tell this problem to the service Engineer Mr. Kalaiarasan (95434 35674, 97909 28540) and Mr. Raja (93817 03842) they are not attending our call. We have been tried their numbers for more than 100 times but it is of no use. At the time of installation, they were very kind and only their work is over, they didn’t want to attend our calls.

    Since we are running a office and our work is fully dependable on net, we are facing a lot of problem which causes more tension and we are not able to give proper service to our customers. We are frustrated with your service and your customer care. We want the new Modem set and setup box, so that we able to do the work. Even after seeing this mail, if no action was taken we would like to disconnect the line.

    Since our office is a service center, more than 10 members were giving service through net (Team viewer support) to our customers. Due to this inproper net connection, we are facing more problem and we expect you to give proper attention to us, since it is a service center not any time pass center and we have not taken this connection for home use. Depending on this service only, we have to pay them.

    So, I kindly request you to take an immediate proper action with higher priority to solve the problem which would enable me to do the work without tension and able to give the service to our customers.
